The Crossing Part 1: I must be mad!

This year I set my self a big challenge: completing the Crossing, a coast-to-coat mountain bike challenge.

We've not been out camping as much recently, and that's because my weekends have been taken up doing day-long mountain bike rides as I'm training for The Crossing!

This is an epic 3-day event, starting on the coast at Whitehaven on the west of the country, and ending on the coast at Scarborough on the eastern side of the country.

But it's not just about getting from A to B. The Crossing will take me across three national parks: The Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and the North Yorkshire Moors.

This is not going to be flat!

Day 3

It starts on Friday, 23rd July 2021, so not long now.

I've just finished my last long ride of 7 hours.

Another 'short' ride of 4 hours and other training in between.

I probably won't be able to walk (or sit down!) for a few days afterwards 😉
