Domaine du Chateau de Drancourt Ratings and Reviews

Average customer rating for Domaine de Drancourt Campsite 3 out of 5
Get Out With The Kids rating of 2 out of 5

Rated 8.2 out of 10 for the average Eurocamp satisfaction score, however, Domaine du Chateau de Drancourt only rated 3 out of 5 on Trip Advisor. On Holiday Watchdog, the campsite scored 6.5 out of 10 (48 reviews).

A lot of the poor reviews were with Keycamp (we’re seeing this a lot), although there was also a surprising bad review of Eurocamp (though others said they would go with Eurocamp again and gave the site 9 out of 10).

The poor reviews focus around a lot of facilities were closed in low season, and that in 2012, the campsite’s facilities were looking tired, and the site suffered particularly poorly in bad rain.

Although we’ve not stayed at this campsite, we’re giving this a score of just 2 out of 5.  This is based on the number of recent (2012) bad reviews, especially from families.   Although everything about this site looks great on paper, we want to watch this site and see if things improve in 2013, so our low review score is a ‘warning’ flag.

To be fair to the campsite though, the customer reviews are broadly positive.  Here’s a positive review from a stay in June 2012 (care of Trip Advisor):

“The mobile home was excellent and the site is spacious and quiet. The Eurocamp couriers were friendly and efficient and there was a toddler club session morning and afternoon. The covered pool was lovely for the children, and although the outside pool with flume was unheated, it was well attended.”, Carol B, Trip Advisor reviewer
