Shropshire – Ashes Hollow Picnic Spot

Ashes Hollow is a beautiful valley in the Long Mynd, just up from the Small Batch Campsite, in village of Little Stretton, Shropshire.

The walk starts at the far end of the campsite and you follow the stream that flows through the valley.

The first part of the walk has a flat trail, but does have a couple of stiles to climb over.

This is a great place for picnic on a sunny day. Our kids have loved playing in the stream here.

The upper part of the walk can get a little bit more difficult, with a narrow trail that turns rocky, though there are some stepping stones for the kids to cross.

Parking can be difficult when it is busy. There are two pubs in the village. The one at the cross roads near the start of the walk has a couple of large trampolines for kids to play on.
