The Vango Celino Air 400 is a great family tent for a family with smaller children – or perhaps as a second weekender tent if you have a large tent for longer family camping holidays.
The Vango Celino Air 400 is a great little tent package.
It comes with two double bedrooms in the back of the tent, a living area, and a fantastic front porch.
I really like the style of these types of tents, with the large front porch. They are so practical for the British weather, providing some protection from the rain, and a windbreak for when you want to sit outside.
The Celino Air, as the name suggests, is inflatable. You simply have three airbeams to inflate.
It isn’t completely free of tent poles though, as you still need to thread a tent pole for the front porch. However, that’s just one tent pole to contend with.
As well as the large front door, there’s also a side entrance. You wouldn’t want to use the side entrance if it is raining, but in warm weather, it will help create a nice through-draught in the tent to cool it down.
If you want to use electricity in the tent, there’s a cable entry on the opposite side to the side door.
Inside the bedrooms, there are some hand stowage pockets, and the tent also comes ready for the Vango SkyTrack hanging system.
Alternatives to the Celino Air 400
If you like this tent but not sure about AirBeams, or you want the tent a bit cheaper, then look at the Vango Padstow 500.
- A great family tent layout. The large porch is a plus IMHO.
- Inflatable, with just one tent pole to deal with.
- The groundsheet doesn't lay flat at the doors, so could be a tripping hazard.
