Our Review

The Vango Avington 600XL has a layout I really like on a family tent, with the large front porch that's so useful for camping in the British weather.

At the back of the tent are two bedrooms, each triple-size. Yes, you could put three people in each bedroom, but actually, getting a three bedroom to use as a double makes a lot of sense, as it gives you more space to move around, get changed, etc.

This additional space is just what you need on a family camping holiday when you stay for multiple nights in the tent.

There is also a side door on the Avington. This will help create a pleasant breeze through the tent when it is hot, though note that there's no bug mesh screen on the side door. You will find a large vent at the back of the tent too, which is designed to help reduce condensation, especially in the sleeping area.

Tent extension & Accessories for the Vango Avington 600XL

If you want even more space, then the tent extension you need is the Vango Exceed Side Awning.

For the carpet, you need the Vango Universal Carpet size 260 x 360 cm.

You can also purchase a footprint to protect the underside of your tent.
