I saw the new Outwell Power Peg in the Outwell catalogue. £10 for a set of four looked like a useful addition to anyone's camping kit for when they needed an extra deep ground anchor, so I asked Outwell for a sample to review, and they agreed :-)
So, what is the Outwell Power Peg?
Well, they are a large screw that's just over 30 cm, in the Outwell luminous colour.
To get the pegs into the ground, you screw them in rather than hammer. The Power Pegs come with an adapter to screw them in by hand or an adapter to use with a cordless drill.
This is the handle to help screw the PowerPeg into ground. There's also a cordless drill attachment.
Using the Power Peg
Screwing the Power Peg into the ground was quite easy, but not where there was stones. These are best in ground that isn't that rocky.
Once I had screwed the Power Peg in deep enough, it was very secure.

Despite being embedded well into the ground, removing the Power Peg was easy enough with the adapter to unscrew it.
