The Outwell Magante kitchen unit has proved extremely useful and practical, with many features. Yes, we had a minor problem with the magnetic knife block (easily repaired), so I will mark the quality down. But otherwise, this has been sturdy while camping.

The good
- Quick and easy to put up and fold away
- The magnetic cupboard doors make it much easier to get things in and out
- The sink support is a great addition. We put the Outwell Collaps Water Carrier above it, so we have water on tap.
- Hooks, shelves, and magnetic strip keep utensils at hand, without have to use up storage space.
- Nice addition of the kitchen roll dispenser
- Cupboards are a good size too
The not so good
- We had a slight problem with our review sample, but that was easily rectified
- Make sure you have enough space to take it to the campsite. Pack size is 114 x 52 x 15 cm

Our Review
I saw the new Outwell Magante camping kitchen unit at the 2023 season launch at Outwell and thought it was a fantastic evolution of a series of camp kitchen units that have just been getting better and better.
So, naturally, I thought this would be a great item to review and show all of you. Fortunately, Outwell agreed to send me a press sample 👍
It has since been made a winner of the 2023 Camping Awards, so I'm not the only one who thinks this is a great bit of kit.
Using the Outwell Magante Kitchen Unit
We've used the Outwell Magante on a few camps now, and it's proving to be a very useful.
It comes in a large travel bag about the same size as other Outwell kitchen units (such as the Outwell Drayton), so it was a simple swap out in our camping gear.

Setting Up
One of the great things I like about this kitchen is that it is very simple and fast to set up when you get to the campsite.
The legs and cupboards fold underneath, and once unfolded and attached, open up the top to reveal the fold-out shelves and magnetic knife block.
You can also fold out a support for the washing-up bowl!

The Cupboards
The cupboards on the Outwell Magante are a generous size and have an air vent (with bug mesh) at the back so you can store fresh produce.
With the magnetic doors on the cupboards, opening and closing them is so much quicker than the older zipped cupboard doors.
Our Problem
Our unexpected problem was that the magnetic knife block had become unattached.
If you open your new kitchen, and this happens to you, you can take it back to the camping shop (UK consumer law means you should either get your money back or a replacement).
However, as ours was a review sample sent out to 'press', we had no shop to send it back to 😂
Fortunately, this sort of thing is easily fixed. So, if the same happens to you after some time, watch our video below on how to fix it.
