If you are spending any length of time camping in one place with the family, there's no doubt that having a tent that can become a home-from-home makes life so much easier.

The Outwell Knightdale 7PA is one such tent. Yes, it's a large tent, coming in at around 7.5 metres long, but you'll be pleased with all that space on a camping holiday.

I think this tent is ideal if you have older children, or a mix of boys and girls, since it has three bedrooms, with one bedroom further away from the others. Perhaps an ideal retreat for a teenager.

This additional bedroom can be removed, so if you do have an older child that doesn't always come camping with you, you can always remove this bedroom to create more living space.

And yes, this tent can technically fit seven people, but for a family camping holiday, it might be better for a family of four or five, providing everyone with more space for bags and furniture.

While we are talking about the bedrooms, these are darkened, which should help with sleep when the sun rises early in the summer. Plus, the main bedroom doors have the new Outwell Quick and Quiet entry system.

With all this talk of bedrooms, we shouldn't forget the living spaces.

You have a good-sized 'inner sanctum' of the tent. A great place for some camping cupboards to store clothes.  The additional bedroom can also be accessed from the inner living space, just like all the other bedrooms.

From this inner area, there is a door to the porch area, which is also a good size.

The living space also uses the Outwell HookTrack system, which helps you position lights where you need them.
