£31.99 £26.99
The Outwell Grandville 8SA is a massive tent, ideal for larger families, or those that want lots of space.
If you have lots of children, or you go on holiday with grandparents, or you have three older children that all want or need separate bedrooms, then the Outwell Grandville 8SA might be the giant tent that you require.
With four double bedrooms, this tent can sleep up to 8 and comes with a HUGE living area.

The Tent Layout
From above, the tent looks like a large ‘plus’ + sign. It has two wings that contain bedrooms and two wings for extra living space.

The Bedrooms
Each of the bedroom wings contains two double bedrooms. The bedrooms are darkened and have storage pockets.
These bedrooms are Outwell Ambassador Master Bedrooms 230 cm deep, which is longer than many tent bedrooms.
The doors use the excellent Quick & Quiet doors, plus have power cable entry, which is ideal for lanterns or to charge your phones overnight.

The Living Areas
Yes, areas, not just one living area.
In the central part of the tent is a vast space. Ideal for a table if you need to eat inside the tent or play games if it’s too cold to sit outside.
This living area extends into a different tent’s wing, which provides an excellent place for further seating or tent furniture. This wing can also open up with a door, providing you with additional ventilation on hot days.

The tent’s final wing can be used as an additional living space and has a removable groundsheet, making this an excellent porch. You can have it open with a Quick and Quiet door that separates it from the tent’s inner sanctum. However, if you don’t want it open, it comes with a front door you can zip shut.

Pitching the Tent
The Outwell Grandville 8A is a huge tent, requiring at least two people to pitch.
The tent comes in a bag with wheels, but it weighs nearly 53 kg, and so it will need at least two people to lift it in and out of a car. I recommend you get a camping trailer for this tent and all the camping furniture you’ll want to put in it.
Being such a large tent, I also recommend you get the footprint accessory that goes with it. The footprint not only protects the underside of your tent, but it’s easier to layout the position of the tent with the footprint than drag the large tent around.
Once the footprint is in position, unpack the tent on top of it, and lay it over the top of the footprint, making sure none of the footprint is visible.
With the Outwell Pegging System, fix the silver metal pegs into the tent’s corners, then use the supplied pump to inflate the tent’s tubes to the required pressure. Then, once inflated, use the black tent pegs on the black pegging points and the guy lines’ luminous pegs.
With this system, it’s quite simple to pitch such a large family tent. Get the family involved, as the more people helping, the quicker and easier it is.

The Outwell Pegging System helps make pitching easier. Silver pegs in the silver loops at each corner of the tent, inflate/insert poles, black pegs through black loops at the bottom of the tent, and luminous pegs for the bright guy lines.
