Here’s a new item for camping: a duvet that you can wear. Is this a good replacement for the sleeping bag?

Lazy Patch Duvet Suit

Well, I have to admit I’ve never heard of them before, LazyPatch duvet suits, but just the name sounds intriguing so when Planet Camping offered to send over a couple to try I was rather excited.

To put it simply, it’s a duvet adapted to a jacket and trouser style, so it’s like wearing a duvet! Snug uh?

The duvet suits are available for all the family and in a good range of styles to suit all tastes.

Some key features

  • Drawstring waistband
  • Long arms and legs – designed with extra length, so hands and feet all toasty
  • Detachable hood
  • Handy carry bag
  • Carry bag – can be used as a pillow too

Now I hate being cold, especially cold hands and feet.

At home, I can often be found wearing many layers of clothes even in summer ( a bit of a family joke ).

It’s very unusual for me to be wearing less than two pairs of socks, so the duvet suit sounded right up my street to try!

After waking up on a very chilly campsite where the temperatures were close to freezing, we were keen to put on our suits! We found them very easy to put on and comfortable to wear. We were soon toasty and warm, in fact, I didn’t want to take mine off! I did feel like I was dressed in a costume ( a bit like a telly tubby, not sure why, though! )

Duvet Suits

There is one decent size pocket on the suit for keeping any little bits safe.

The duvet suit certainly warms you up very efficiently and if you get too hot, you can just adjust the zip to achieve a comfortable temperature.

I like the fact that the hood is detachable, a good safety feature and if you’re using them in the house, a hood is not always a necessary feature you need.

The carry bag they come in could be used as a pillow too if you are camping or at a sleepover.

I can see many practical uses for these duvet suits, chilling at home, sleepovers, camping, playing outside ( when the weather is dry! ) I think they are best designed for relaxing and chilling out in ( as the name suggests) They are initiative, fun and warm 🙂
