We tried out this new inflatable comfy sofa for camping, which proved a fun (and comfortable) way to provide extra seating at the campsite.

- It does take a bit of pumping to get it up, but that's not a problem if you have willing kids or an electric pump ;-)

Our Review
this inflatable comfy sofa could be just the ticket for lounging in front of the campfire
Some people's view of relaxing (including mine at times!) is lying on the sofa and watching some TV. But what if you're camping?
Well, this inflatable sofa from Easy Camp could be just the ticket for lounging in front of the campfire.
We took it to a local back-to-basics campsite (The Coates Farm), and it proved a great hit with the three kids we had with us.
Taking the Sofa to the Campsite
We've been using inflatable sofas for a while now, and have reviewed the Easy Camp Movie Seat in the past. We take the Movie Seat with us in our caravan now, and it's great in our awning, including when we took the caravan to Italy.
Well, Easy Camp have updated their inflatable sofa range, so we just had to try the new version, the Easy Camp Comfy Sofa.
A comfy alternative to camping chairs
This is both bigger and more like a sofa than the previous Movie Seat. (The Comfy Sofa is 195 cm wide, 85 cm deep, and a seat height of 3o cm).

One thing I noticed straightaway is that the Easy Camp Comfy Sofa comes with a bag. This is a welcome addition, since a lot of inflatable items can sprawl everywhere when deflated if they don't have a bag.
The sofa comes with its own carry bag
This sofa does pack down well back into its bag, and so doesn't take up much space to take to the campsite.
Inflating the Easy Camp Comfy Sofa
Just like large airbeds, there's a lot of pumping involved to inflate the sofa.
Fortunately, the kids were more than keen to do it :-)
Another alternative, is a decent pump that will work off your car's electrics.
There are three points were you inflate the sofa.
There are three inflation points. Two large quick-deflate valves for the seat and the back rest, and a smaller regular valve for a stablisation piece that stops the sofa tipping backwards.
Verdict
Whilst this isn't an essential camping item, it is a lot fun, a quick way to provide a lot of seating, and the kids love it! It gets the thumbs up from us.
