Tyn Cornel is a beautiful family campsite 4 miles from Bala in Snowdonia National Park it has a stunning riverside location and 4-star facilities.
Ideally situated for family adventures in North Wales. We have a variety of pitches with something for everyone – back to nature camping with a fire, or electric hook-ups, with grass or hardstanding. Free hot showers and wifi come as standard, and dogs are welcome too.
Tyn Cornel Camping is on the banks of the River Tryweryn within Snowdonia National Park, a short distance from the market town of Bala with its shops, restaurants and pubs.
The campsite is bordered by woodland and a spectacular white water river, surrounded by dramatic welsh scenery. It’s perfect for families who want to get into the outdoors or those who just want a relaxing base for exploring local attractions.
The campsite has plenty of space for kids to let off steam and has a whole field reserved for play!
The touring field has electrical hook-ups and a mix of pitches suitable for caravans, motorhomes, campervans or tents. All pitches are on level ground close to the river, with a mix of hardstanding or grass. The main amenities building is situated close to hand, with modern clean facilities.
The traditional grass camping field, without designated pitches, has covered picnic tables and free-to-hire fire pits so you can have that all-important campfire for toasting your kid’s marshmallows! This field is also flat and close to the river. It has a drinking water tap, toilets and a small washing up area, perfect for tents and smaller campervans.
Both camping areas are within range of the free wifi. Pets are welcome too, with a dog walk on site.
Despite the close-to-nature feel and riverside location of the campsite, it has a 4 star standard of facilities, it certainly takes the hassle out of family camping when you know you have access to modern conveniences.
Within the main amenities building, there are free hot showers, a laundry and a covered washing up area. There is also an accessible shower room and toilet.
There is free WiFi with good speeds possible from the pitches.
BBQs are encouraged across the whole site, blocks are provided to raise them off the ground.
In the traditional camping field, there are free to hire fire-pits with logs and kindling available for purchase in the campsite shop.
The campsite has easy access to the River Tryweryn with river access and egress ramp on site.
