Teversal Campsite
Teversal Campsite is run by the Camping and Caravanning Club*, right next to the Silverhill Wood Country Park with the Teversal Trails for cycling or walking. If you can't bring your own bikes, don't worry. You can hire bikes at the campsite (from £6 per hour to £15 per day).
As well as tents, motorhomes, and caravans, the Teversal campsite also has Safari Tents for a bit of glamping, and if they don't take your fancy, there is also a Log Cabin and a holiday caravan.
*Note: you don't have to be a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club to visit Teversal, though taking out membership will give you a discount at many campsites.
Our Review
Teversal Campsite is in Nottinghamshire, with easy access to the Peak District and the Derbyshire Dales - so there's plenty of walking and cycling nearby. In fact, just opposite the campsite, is the Teversal Trails in Silverhill Wood. You can even hire bikes from the campsite if you didn't bring any with you.

The campsite is flat with a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches, so tents, caravans, and motorhomes are welcome. However, you can still visit without any of the above, either by staying in one of the Safari Tents, a Log Cabin, or a static caravan you can hire.
There are plenty of hardstanding pitches.
The facilities at the campsite are excellent. The showers are wet rooms, that come complete with a toilet and sink. Family rooms are also available.

If you fancy getting active, the National Water Sports Centre is nearby. Even if you are not planning on doing watersports, this is a great place for kids to ride their bike around the main arena lake, and there are also activities like the laser E-Combat and climbing.
Teversal is a campsite we'd love to go back to, and it gets the thumbs up from us.
