Slingsby Campsite
This is a Camping and Caravanning Club campsite, based in the beautiful North Yorkshire village of Slingsby.
This is a small touring site with a mixture of grass and hardstanding pitches, all serviced with Electric Hook-ups.
Our Review
We stayed at the Slingsby Campsite during our #5CChallenge and using Slingsby as a base for exploring Castle Howard and York.
The campsite is at the far end of the quiet village of Slingsby and is a good touring site with flat pitches for motorhomes, caravans, and tents.

Slingsby is a small campsite in a rural location. There wasn't much traffic on the campsite and the kids were happy on their scooter or penny board going around the site.
Just opposite the campsite's entrance is the site of an old railway line. This is a good place for a stroll, to walk the dog, or take the kids on some traffic-free cycling.

You can also take a path from the old railway line to access the other side of the village and walk past the remains of Slingsby Castle. It was getting darker when we reached it, which made the castle all the more spooky and set the kids' imaginations running.

Being a Caravan and Camping Club site, the facilities were good and the staff friendly. Even the kids commented that it was nice going back to a Club campsite as they knew the facilities were going to be good.
