Glamping at Mill Farm is hot water on tap, comfy beds, snugly duvets and pillows, eggs most days, wifi when needed, rechargeable lanterns for the evenings and fantastic hosts. And for the kids - bunk beds in a mini wooden house inside the lodge, reading bedtime stories by candlelight, mini tractors to race around the meadow, a safe environment...and best of all, no electronic games consoles or TV. With 100 heifers, 200 baby calves, chicken’s, donkeys and ducks on the farm, it’s always someone’s dinnertime. Farmer Joe is happy for young guests to join in with feeding on the farm tour.

The Tented Lodges - Glamping sleeps 6

The super-chic canvas lodges are fabulously spacious and well furnished, with a generous master bedroom, an all-new cosy bunk barn and a second bedroom with single beds. The attractive living and dining area features a superb stove with oven, hob and a wood-burning fire. Its cosy warmth – and the romance of dining by lantern light – all add to the magic of an unforgettable stay. A cool box is provided for your cold items (plus there’s a fridge in the farm shop if you want to store things in there) and rechargeable lanterns for at night. The comfortable lounge/dining area of each lodge opens on to an attractive, covered veranda for sitting al fresco and enjoying the best of nature: all those memorable meals with fine, fresh local produce somehow taste even better when they’re eaten outdoor. Glamping at Mill Farm never means doing without the best of home comforts. All the luxury canvas lodges have a separate toilet and shower cabins situated on the rear deck of your own tent with a flushing toilet and a piping hot shower.

There is a choice of accommodation at Mill Farm; Luxury Canvas Lodges and Mill Farm House. The farm can also accommodate larger parties if guests take on the whole site.

Honesty Shop

One of the old barns has been converted into an ‘honesty shop’ and information centre for the convenience of families staying at Mill Farm. The shelves and fridges are filled with life’s little essentials. From fresh bread, butter and milk to cakes, cheeses, quiches, honey, jams and pickles. Not to mention a fridge packed full of local sausages, bacon, chicken and beef to cook on your stove. Perfect for lazy holiday breakfasts, yummy picnic lunches and cosy fireside dinners as well as the occasional treat.

For families who like to stay connected on holiday, Mill Farm provides a free password-protected wi-fi connection for guest use.

The Organic Farm

The Dyke family own the flourishing Mill Farm – along with neighbouring Belle Vue Farm – both run organically. Belle Vue is home to a herd of 100 organic dairy heifers – along with a small gaggle of organic geese, donkeys, rabbits and guinea pigs. Farmer Joe is very proud of his farm: he loves showing guests around and explaining the day-to-day running of an organic farm. Depending on the time of year, your farm tour will include hands-on fun with feeding, harvesting, digging for worms and much more.

Children aged ten and under can enjoy the special fun of riding on our friendly donkey, Moto. Times for rides are posted on the blackboard in the Honesty Shop.

Welcome Meal

Want the hassle of cooking for everyone, as well as shifting luggage and settling in when you arrive? Well if no is the answer, then how does the sound of a delicious pub meal delivered to your luxury canvas lodge sound? The local pub The Raven Inn based in Poulshot is highly rated for its food and friendliness and with prior arrangements, a freshly cooked welcome meal can be delivered to your tent door. Now that's my kind of Glamping!

Additional facilities and activities on the farm

Facilities and activities on the farm include laser clay pigeon shooting, bikes for hire, donkey rides, a straw bale arena, BBQ areas and more. Plus a great range of local walks, good country pubs within walking distance or a short drive away.
