Luxury Cornish Yurts

Luxury Cornish Yurts

We offer our guests a wonderfully unique holiday experience where you can relax and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
We offer short breaks or a week-long stay. It’s ideal for a romantic tryst for two or a getaway for the whole family.

Each yurt is furnished with solid oak furniture and has a king-sized bed and two futons for the children.
There is plenty of storage for clothes and personal belongings. Cosy rugs, a wood-burning stove and thick felt liners ensure that no matter what the weather outside, inside you are snug and warm.

Each yurt also has its own private decked area with patio table and chairs where you can sit and watch the sunset in quiet seclusion. It really is a magical way to spend a few nights away. Each yurt also has a private heated shower room for your exclusive use.

Our fantastic barn facilities mean that our guests do not need to share kitchen or shower rooms because inside the barn the ‘Cowshed kitchen’ has three individual fully fitted kitchens, fully stocked with everything our guests need.
There is plenty of space within the ‘Cowshed Kitchen’ to sit and relax on leather sofas or enjoy playing table football with other guests. We also have a good selection of toys and games for the children, books and complimentary tea and coffee.

Outside the barn, there is a large fire pit area with seating where you can have an open fire or enjoy a BBQ cooked over open flames.
Children love to toast marshmallows or help with the BBQ.
Alternatively, you can use our gas-fired BBQ and enjoy sharing your day's experiences with others around the open fire.

Pick fresh herbs from our herb garden......or just sit and while away an hour or so enjoying a glass of wine sitting on the decked area outside the kitchen. We have tried to think of everything to make your holiday special so we provide; rechargeable torches and lanterns, all your bedding and towels, first basket of logs, tea lights and lanterns, hot water bottles, free laundry facilities and even our own free-range eggs.

Directions

A38 ROUTE-Take the A38 from Exeter to Plymouth. Continue to Saltash through the tunnel and on to Liskeard. Exit the A38 at Liskeard (Island Shop) and at the first roundabout take the second turning, crossing back over the A38. At the next roundabout turn right (second turning) and continue on for 100m to another roundabout. (Morrisons supermarket is on your left). Take the second exit into Charter Way and continue on for about half a mile, passing the Aldi Supermarket on your right, till you reach another roundabout. At this roundabout, take a right turn (second exit) towards Callington on the A390. Continue on for about 2 miles until you reach MERRYMEET. At Merrymeet turn left between the houses, passing the little church on your right, continue on for one mile. Little Fursdon- Luxury Cornish Yurts is on your left.

A 30 ROUTE from M5 –From where you exit the M5 onto the A30 just past Exeter (Singposted to Bodmin) it is about an hour to Launceston. Then from Launceston, it’s about another 16 miles through the country lanes (approx 30 mins) to Little Fursdon. This is a scenic route from Exeter across the moors exiting the A30 at Launceston (Sign for Callington). Once you have exited the A30 at Launceston take the second exit off the roundabout towards South Petherwin on the B3254. You will go through the villages of Middlewood, Darley Ford and Upton Cross. After Upton Cross you will go on for another two miles and you’ll pass a small farm shop on the LH side and just past that is the sign for Pensilva/Callington where you will cross the first cattle grid….do not take this road but carry on down the hill about another 300m and you cross a second cattle grid. Turn immediately left after the cattle grid and go for 50 meters and you’ll come to a crossroad. Go straight across and down the hill for a mile. You’ll come to another crossroad…. go straight on for another 200metres and we’re on the right-hand side.

Parking is provided at the top of the driveway just as you enter.

SAT NAV For guests using Sat Nav to guide them to LCY, a word of warning…..you may get taken to the farm next door as SAT NAV seems to think that we are the same farm. If you see a sign for Fursdon Farm, you’ll need to locate us from there. Depending on which way you are heading…you need to imagine that you are driving out of their driveway ….turn right until you meet the crossroad (about 100m) turn right again and drive for another150m and we’re first on the right.

Parking is provided at the top of the driveway just as you enter.
