Lower Hill Farm Campsite is nestled in the hill of Wenlock Edge.

We discovered Lower Hill Farm by accident, and what a good ‘accident’ that was!
The campsite is on the side of Wenlock Edge, which is a ridgeline that runs quite a distance in Shropshire and is managed by the National Trust.
Of course, being in the hills means that the campsite is not flat, though they do have some level pitches for caravans and motorhomes.
We were a late arrival, and so got a pitch that was a little bit wonky!
The views from the campsite are great, fires are allowed, and there’s plenty of space for the kids to play.
If you don’t want to bring your own tent, Lower Hill Farm also has glamping available.
-
- There are flat pitches too, complete with EHU. These pitches had caravans, motorhomes, and large tents when we visited.
-
- This bird of prey was circuling us. Hmm…
-
- We pitched on a slope. I adjusted the table’s legs to make it level. This gives you an idea of just how much of slope it was.
-
- The tent pitched in the shade at Lower Hill Farm. A good spot, since the weather was very hot.
-
- There’s toilets and showers just outside the farm house.
