Gwerniago is a quiet campsite in rural Mid-Wales, not far from the Snowdonia National Park, and just 3 miles from Machynlleth.
It provides non-electric and electric pitches, including hardstanding.
Awning and pup tents are included in the price as long as they fit within the pitch.
A static caravan is also available to hire.
Gwerniago Farm is a place we kept coming back to when our kids were younger and was a must to visit at least once a year.
It’s located near Machynlleth in the Dyfi Valley, and so the location has so many things to do:
15 minutes drive to the nearest beach. 10 minutes walk to the nearest shop and pub which serves food.

Camping by the Hill at Gwerniago Farm. This is our very old tent, the Coleman Coastline.
At the heart of the campsite is a hill with outcrops of rocks. A great place for children to play.
They often make friends and it’s not uncommon to see large groups of children running about the site. There are also often a few rope swings around.
When we last visited, pony rides can be arranged for smaller children.
The site itself has simple facilities, but just what’s needed.
Top tip: If it’s wet and you want to get wetter, visit the Bro Ddyfi Leisure Centre in Machynlleth. Swimming, waterslide, and warm showers.
