The Yorkshire Museum
There are many places to take the kids in and around York, and one of those is the Yorkshire Museum, which will give you a glimpse of life in and around York through the ages.
Our Review
We've visited many museums around York over the years, but only recently visited the Yorkshire Museum.
This museum is easily reached by foot from the centre of the city and takes about an hour or two to visit.
We thought it was quite a balanced museum, with a good mix of info for adults and things to capture the attention of the kids. It certainly helped visualise York through the ages, with many Roman, Anglian, and Viking items.

As you enter the museum you are transported back to Roman York.

Well, we just had to try out this Hunter-Gatherer tent!
