Itchen Valley Country Park is just northeast of Southampton, and it's where you'll find Go Ape for some treetop fun.

Our Family Park & Campsite is situated within the grounds of Fairthorne Manor, offering opportunities for families to drop in for the day or to stay overnight.

A golf course since 1974, the stunning park and woodland expanse were returned to its original use as a campsite.  The area is dotted with copses, a stream and plenty of room in which families can enjoy themselves.

The site is open for families to enjoy a relaxing and picturesque setting in which to unwind along with a range of both organised and self-led children's activities. We can also provide access to the YMCA Fairthorne Manor activity programme including activities such as Kayaking, Archery, Abseiling, Raft Building.

We can also cater for large groups, weddings, Family BBQs and special occasions, just get in touch!

YMCA Family Park & Campsite, Fairthorne Manor

Like all Camping Unplugged sites, Abbotstone Wood is committed to family camping in open country with campfires, dogs and of course children. We don’t have set pitches or electrical hook-ups and are tents only. No motor homes or caravans, though we do accept small VW type vans. 

Abbotstone Wood is an unspoilt piece of the countryside just North of the charming town of Alresford.  Set within The Grange Estate it is a mixture of old woodland and open fields, with lots of opportunities for walking and exploring.

We know that children run wild in the ancient woodlands and fields, and return of an evening exhausted and exhilarated by their activities in this mildly wild countryside. Tablets and smartphones are forgotten and they are happy to sit around a campfire eating food cooked in the very old fashioned way and even talking to their parents

Like all Camping Unplugged sites, White Meadow is committed to family camping in open country with campfires, dogs and of course children. We don’t have set pitches or electrical hook-ups and are tents only. No motor homes or caravans, though we do accept small VW type vans. 

White meadow is a broad meadow just about a kilometre from the Lepe Country Park and the beaches of the Solent, looking across to the Isle of Wight. Set on the Cadland Estate it has woods along the edges and has a small amount of woodland camping, but mainly offers open field camping. 

There are woods, beaches and footpaths to explore within easy walking. Tablets and smartphones are forgotten and you will sit grubby and happy around a campfire eating muscles collected on the seashore cooked in the very old fashioned way. White Meadow is the place childhood memories are made.

Beaulieu has lots of variety. It is both an old house and abbey remains nestled in the New Forest, and it is the National Motor Museum.

Green Hill Farm is an award-winning, high-rated holiday and glamping site with direct New Forest National Park access. Ideal for campers and tourers, pitches are a mix of grass and hardstanding, with optional electric. For a glamping getaway, choose cosy pods or luxury safari tents complete with a hot tub. Sit by the on-site lakes, spot an abundance of wildlife or explore the forest right on your doorstep. Perfect for couples and families.

Think spectacular views, visits from the deer and ducks, and a great base to explore the New Forest.

The site is rated 5 Star by the AA and is listed as a Best of British and Premier Parks park, too - voted one of the top 100 holiday parks in the country in 2021 and 2022 by Premier Caravan.

Choose from grass or hardstanding pitches with optional electric for campers and tourers. These offer picturesque views and well-maintained facilities nearby.

Opt for camping pods or luxury safari tents if you're after a glamping getaway with your loved ones.

The camping pods are ideal for couples or larger families of up to 4 looking to enjoy the great outdoors in any weather, with stunning views of the surrounding area! Shared facilities are nearby.

The woodlands surround the stylish safari tents that overlook the lake. Sleeping up to six, each is fully furnished, complete with three bedrooms, a play area and a brilliant bathroom with a shower.

You'll have your own private wood-fired hot tub outside, perfect for relaxing under the stars after a day exploring the forest.

Green Hill Farm Holiday Village

Like all Camping Unplugged sites, Inwood is committed to family camping in open country with campfires, dogs and of course children. We don’t have set pitches or electrical hook-ups and are tents only. No motor homes or caravans, though we do accept small VW type vans. 

Inwood Copse is an amazing piece of the countryside just South of Basingstoke on the Farleigh Wallop Estate. It is a mixture of old woodland and new planting, as well as field camping with a fine view up towards Oxford. 

We know that children run free in the untouched woodlands and fields, and return of an evening exhausted and exhilarated by their activities in this mildly wild countryside. Tablets and smartphones are forgotten and they then sit grubby and happily round a campfire eating food cooked in the very old fashioned way.

Inwood Campsite

Monkey Haven, on the Isle of Wight, is an award-winning primate rescue centre. 
They specialise in taking on primates (and a few other animals) that have been rescued from the illegal pet trade, street pedlars, or from other zoos, where for whatever reason, the monkey was being bullied by the others. These are all monkeys that cannot be rehabilitated into the wild, and so Monkey Haven creates a home for them.

This is an easy stroll along the coastal path from the small town of Seaview to Ryde in the Isle of Wight.
The walk is suitable for pushchairs, although the path is a little bit bumpy at the Seaview end. Much of the wider sections are also cycle paths, although you do have to detour and ride through the park or road for some sections near SeaView.

There are wide sandy beaches at Ryde, along with a lifeguard service (seasonal), amusements, and plenty of places to get ice cream or a cuppa. 
There's a pier, where the island's train service has a station at the end of the pier. It is also where you can catch a hovercraft to Portsmouth, which is only meant to take 10 minutes to get to the mainland.
Along the walk, there are a couple of parks to explore, as well as the beach, of course.
