The March Wood Project works with young people and families within 100 acres of Kentish woodland.  
We run a range of educational and developmental programmes aimed at helping to build young people's confidence and self-esteem as well as helping families come together whilst engaging in wild woodland activities.  
We run programmes that include fire lighting, camp cooking, den building, natural art, animal and plant identification, archery, overnight camps, team-building challenges and more.

The March Wood Project

La Bien Assise is just 14km from the port of Calais and is an ideal stopover for those travelling further into France, or for those that don't want to drive too far on the French roads.

For those bringing their own tent or mobile home, La Bien Assise has 198 pitches.

These range between 80 to 100 square meters on the grass.

La Bein Assise also has hot showers, washing up facilities, a laundrette, and even baby baths.

The campsite has a family and children's pool, complete with a water slide (for children over 8 years old).

There's also a shop and mini market, a restaurant, and a snack bar and take away (including pizzas, chips, burgers, etc.)

Outside you'll also find a play park, mini-golf (fee applies), tennis (fee applies), table tennis, and a volley ball court.

Calais is only 14km away.  

## What's in the Area

The nearest beach is 15km away.

A big local attraction is the <a href="http://www.aqualud.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Aqualud Waterpark</a>, and if family theme parks are your thing, then <a href="http://www.parcbagatelle.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Parc Bagatelle</a> is within travelling distance too.

For a bit of WW2 history there's <a href="http://www.mimoyecques.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Fortresse De Mimoyecques</a>, which is a secret underground bunker to launch the V3 at London.

Some of the negative reviewers were clearly people having a bad holiday (i.e. complaining about the weather, which is little that the campsite can do about it), however there was a consistent theme that the take-away food is not great.  La Bien Assise campsite has responded and said that this is a fast food service, and so some food may just be re-heated in a microwave.

La Bien Assise Campsite, Picardy, France

Swallowtail Hill offers a beautiful setting in which to spend a deeply relaxing holiday safe in the knowledge that its impact on the environment will be absolutely minimal. 
Located in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the farm offers a stylish glamping experience set in 40 acres of meadow, woodland and grassland.  

We have two cosy cabins and two quirky cottages-on-wheels which are our own rather eccentric designs – you won’t find anything similar around. 
Each of our units sleeps four people (one double bed and two singles).

We are based on a 200-acre family farm In Bodiam East Sussex as short walk across the farm from Bodiam Castle and Bodiam Station of the Kent and East Sussex Railway.  
We offer Family Glamping in unique and Super Cosy Shepherds huts in the woods as well as running tiny little camping sites in separate woods across the farm.  
We run a quiet policy across the farm and given that the sites are all very little with no more than 15 pitches in one place there is a very safe, friendly and intimate feel to the place, allowing children to play freely and explore.
