Go Ape in Cannock Chase
Not far from the M6 and the city of Birmingham is Cannock Chase in Staffordshire. The Go Ape centre is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, known as Birches Valley.
This has one of their largest treetop adventures, with the longest zip wires being 260 metres.
Cannock Chase also has the Forest Segway, so if heights are not your thing, try one of these. (Note that age and weight restrictions apply - you need to be within a certain weight range for the Forest Segways to balance). Or of course, give the Treetop Adventure a try.
There are also plenty of walks and family-friendly cycle trails at Cannock Chase. If you can't bring your own bikes, you can hire some there.

TreeTop Adventure at Cannock Chase

All harnessed up at Go Ape
We've been along to Go Ape at Cannock Chase and tried the excellent TreeTop Adventure course.
We highly recommend giving it a go if you have kids under 13.

Other things to do at Cannock Chase
Go Ape is actually located in the Birches Valley part of the Forestry Commission woodland. There's lots of walks here, and when we visited, lots of activities for the kids along a woodland walk.
Bring a picnic or eat at the cafe, and make a day of it.
If you can bring bikes, Birches Valley also has a mountain biking course, so you could have a day of adventures.
