Go Ape is by the scenic Mallards Pike Lake in the Forest of Dean, surrounded by walking and cycling routes through the beautiful forest. 
This high ropes course has extended zip wires, with the longest being 180 metres, and is high up at 15-metres.

If you have younger children, to the Go Ape at Beechenhurst, which is a couple of miles away. It has the Treetop Adventure and a Treetop Adventure Plus.

Water activities are the main activities that Way2go Adventures has to offer. Families can enjoy a leisurely guided half-day canoe trip on the river Wye to a more adventurous 2 days and 1-night camp away for computers etc. paddling the canoes to the campsite where you will set up camp for the evening using the canoes, paddles bivvi's and tarps or hammock and tarp, cook your evening meal and breakfast on the open fire before striking camp and then getting back in the canoes to paddle to the finish.
Raft building is a great activity for getting the family to work together. We also offer an introduction to Geo-Caching which is another outdoor activity that can be enjoyed by all the family.

Nestled in the Forest of Dean is the Camping-in-the-Forest campsite of Bracelands.
The campsite is surrounded by woodland but has loads of space, with 520 pitches available for tents, caravans, and motorhomes. 
If you don't want to camp, then the site also provides Camping Pods and Glamping in a Safari ReadyCamp tent.

Walking to Symonds Yat Rock from Bracelands

If you are staying at the Bracelands Campsite in the Forest of Dean, here's a nice circular walk that will take you to Symonds Yat and back.

Goodrich Castle was obliterated by mortar shells during the English Civil War from 'Roaring Meg'. See one of the videos below where they blow up a caravan with a Civil War mortar!!
But despite the damage from the war, Goodrich Castle is still an impressive castle to visit, standing in the countryside above the River Wye.
