Just a handful of miles from the city centre of Leeds is the 500-year old stately home of Temple Newsam. And that’s where you’ll find Go Ape! There are not just high ropes to do here, so make a day of it.
Treetop Adventure – the treetop course for younger children with a specially designed harness system that means your child remains fastened to the course at all times. The course takes an hour, including instruction time.
Children must be at least 1-metre high.
Any child under six-years-old must be accompanied on the course by a paying adult. The adult can supervise up to two children under the age of six.
For children aged between 6 and 15, adults do not need to accompany them on the course. An adult can supervise from the ground up to eight children in this age range
Treetop Adventure+ – this is the next leg up from the Treetop Adventure. It has more obstacles and a little bit higher.
This also takes an hour to complete.
Children must be over 6 years old and at least 1.2 metres tall. All children between 6 and 15 years old can be supervised by an adult from the ground.
Treetop Challenge – this is the biggest treetop course at Temple Newsam, reaching up to 15 metres into the trees.
Expect this course to take between two and three hours to complete.
Children must be at least 1.4 metres tall.
Any children under 13 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult on the course, who can supervise up to four under-13s.
For children aged 13-15 can be supervised by an adult from the ground, who can supervise up to 8 children in this age range.
