Description

At Go Ape Dalby, you can take on the Treetop Challenge, or for the younger ones, the Treetop Adventure.

And if you’d rather stay closer to the ground, why not explore with the Forest Segways and take in a view of the North Yorkshire Moors.

There’s also plenty of walking routes and family-friendly cycle trails. If you can’t bring your own bikes, there is bike hire there.

This is the one. This is the biggy.
Treetop Challenge is where to head if you want to test yourself physically and mentally on our most adventurous treetop experience.
A mecca for thrill seekers who love canopy high tree-to-trees crossings, free-fall Tarzan Swings and riding super-fast, very long zips. This is grown-up fun in the great outdoors. Perfect for adults and kids over 10yrs and 1.4M tall.

  • At least 10 years old
  • Adult Supervision Required:
    One participating adult (18+) can supervise up to two children aged 10 to 15 years while on the course.
    16 and 17 year olds do not require a participating adult but cannot supervise others.
  • Weigh less than 20.5 Stone or 130 kg
  • At least 4ft 7" or 1.4 m tall
  • Lasts between 2-3 hours
  • Wear closed toe, flat shoes, and clothes that could get a bit muddy.
  • Gloves are advisable, but not required.
  • Phones and cameras are usually alowed but must be attached. Lanyards are available to buy from the cabin.
  • Bring change for parking.

Think intricate crossings, wobbly bridges and brilliant zip wire finales – Treetop Adventure is family-fuelled fun in the great outdoors.
Designed with the younger family in mind you can either harness up and join in or cheer on from the forest floor. With plenty of high rope adventures to choose from across the UK you can be sure to find a treetop trek on your doorstep.
Ideal for young adventurers over 1M tall.

  • Any age
  • Adult Supervision Required:
    One participating adult (18+) to supervise up to two children aged under 6 while on the course.
    One adult (18+) can supervise up to eight children aged 6-15 years from the ground.
    16 and 17 year olds do not require a participating adult but cannot supervise others.
  • Weigh less than 20.5 Stone or 130 kg
  • At least 3ft 3" or 1 m tall
  • Lasts about 1 hour
  • Wear closed toe, flat shoes, and clothes that could get a bit muddy.
  • Gloves are advisable, but not required
  • Phones and cameras are usually allowed but must stay attached to you. Lanyards are available to buy from the cabin.
  • Bring change for parking.

Head out into the forest on our heavy duty all-terrain Go Ape Segway experiences. Perfect for adults and kids alike to add a whole new dimension to your adventure in the woods.

Once you’ve aced the training and off-road Segway introductions you can explore the beauty of our UK forests from our spectacular off-road trails - there’s twists, turns and straight open paths to put your new found skills to the test.

  • Adult Supervision Required:
    One participating adult (18+) can supervise up to three children.
    16 and 17 year olds do not require a participating adult but cannot supervise others.
  • Weigh between 7 stone or 45 kg and 18.4 Stone or 117 kg
  • Lasts 1 hour
  • Wear closed toe, flat shoes, and clothes that could get a bit muddy.
  • Gloves are advisable, but not required.
  • Phones and cameras are usually alowed but must be attached. Lanyards are available to buy from the cabin.
  • Bring change for parking.

Here’s where you can find Go Ape at Dalby Forest.

Directions

Dalby Forest GoApe is situated just outside Pickering.

Dalby Forest can be reached from either the A169 Pickering to Whitby road (turning right at the Fox and Rabbit pub YO18 7NQ) or the A170 via Thornton Le Dale (turning left at the Buck Inn after lights). Follow the brown tourist signs for Dalby The Great Yorkshire Forest.

Be aware that the A64 Leeds to Scarborough is extremely busy during weekends and holiday periods and prone to delays so please ensure plenty of extra time is allocated for your journey.

Due to the rural nature of our location, the postcode is not accurate when using satellite navigation. Do not rely on Sat-Nav directions for Dalby Forest as it WILL send you to the wrong location.
