Board Games Surfing
Fun family adventure in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
Surfing - with years of experience and infectious enthusiasm our surf coaches will have you riding the waves in no time. We supply all the kit including a winter steamer wetsuit, wetsuit boots, gloves, hood and a surfboard or bodyboard.
Paddleboarding - If the sea is flat, have a go at stand up paddleboarding. Our boards are over 10ft long and super stable. Once you've got the basics (and your balance) we head out along the coast exploring the hidden caves and coves. All kit is supplied, during hot weather you have the option of throwing on a pair of boardshorts and a rash vest rather than a wetsuit.
The minimum age is 8 years, no experience necessary and non-swimmers are welcome.

Our Review
We went out paddleboarding with Board Games Surfing during the May half term, and it was fantastic fun.
When we first saw the Stand-up Paddleboards (or SUPs for short), they looked big and wide - nice and easy to balance on.
That is until you first stand up while on them in the water! Suddenly your legs shake and they don't feel so stable.
Fortunately, Libby had given us good training, and it wasn't long before we were paddling around Fishguard harbour. In fact, it turned out a lot easier than we had expected, with no one intentionally falling in. We're now hooked on paddleboarding.

Paddling to hidden beaches in Pembrokeshire
We explored hidden beaches that are only accessible by water and even paddled into a cave.
The Pembrokeshire coastline is great to explore from the water, and doing it on a paddleboard was so much fun.
Board Games Surfing provided all the equipment, including some very good wetsuits and wetsuit boots that kept us warm.
All you need to bring is a swimming costume and towel (plus be prepared to get changed in your car if you are paddling from Fishguard harbour).
This was great fun for all the family, and something even non-swimmers can do.
Normally the minimum age is 8, but as you can see in the video, our youngest was able to come and 'help' Libby paddle her board. This meant we could all get on the water.
Conditions were very calm that day, plus it was only us that afternoon, and so exceptions like this may not always be possible. Please check with Board Games Surfing.
