Learning to Sail on Bala

Learning to sail at Bala Watersports on Llyn Tegid in Wales
We visited Bala Watersports when staying at a campsite in the area. Our two youngest children took the Half Day Sailing Taster Session.
At the time, this was priced at £40 each, which included the hire of child-sized wetsuits, cags, buoyancy aids, and helmets.
Neither of our children had been sailing before (at least not when they are at the help), so this was going to be a good experience for them.
The instructor Mark was very good. I could have tried to teach my kids myself, but getting proper tuition from a proper instructor was by far the better option!
Both of them had the fantastic little Laser Pico boats, while Mark supervised them from the rescue boat.
They were out on the water for about 2.5 hours and came back with beaming smiles and wanting to do it again.
From our experience, Bala Watersports gets the thumbs up from us.
