#PlasticsChallenge: Join the Canal & River Trust Challenge

June 29, 2020

Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long before you see rubbish along many of our beautiful rivers and canals. The Canal and River Trust estimate there to be at least 20,000 bin bags full of plastic!

20,000 bin bags full of plastic!

Volunteers try to keep clean up. This is something we did on Stand-up Paddleboards. Unfortunately, with the COVID-19 lockdown, volunteers haven’t been able to help clean up the waterways.

So, the Canal and River Trust are calling for volunteers to get involved with cleaning up the plastic that plagues our waters.

We’ve found generally found young kids find this a fun activity, especially if you get a litter picker for them. Make sure you follow the Canal and River Trust safety guidelines.
