2014 Review

2014 has been an absolutely fantastic year.

We've been lucky to do so many things this year, including some life long ambitions.

Here's a quick video we made showing some of the highlights.

A great year for outdoor adventures in the UK

Apart from a brief wet spell in the middle, 2014 has been one of the best years on record for weather. It may not have hit any records in terms of temperature, but it wasn't long into Spring when it started to become dry and warm, which lasted right through until the end of Autumn.

We hope you were able to take advantage of this great weather this year and get out with the kids. We certainly did 😉

Adventures near and far

We've certainly travelled about and stayed at many new campsites this year.

Pembrokeshire was beautiful (and again, we generally had great weather apart from the one day). It was great to do sea kayaking with the Kayak King and stand-up paddle boarding with Board Games Surfing.

For us, we also achieved something we have been saving for years: visit the USA's west coast and a lifelong ambition of seeing Yosemite and the Pacific Coast Highway. You can start reading about this epic trip by clicking here.

Great to see the GOWTK Tribe Active in 2014

In 2014 we received many messages thanking us for our help in getting other families out with their kids, be it from families starting hiking, to families going camping for the very first time.

A very BIG THANK YOU from us for your kind words.

It's hard fitting in this website around our family life, activities, and jobs. These messages make us feel all the effort is worthwhile.

We also launched the GOWTK Tribe Wall this year, and it has been great to see so many families getting outdoors and enjoying themselves.

Looking forward to 2015

Now is a great time to plan next year's adventures. There's loads we want to do in 2015, though we haven't firmed up our plans yet.
