Hi everyone. We are a family of 3 (2 big humans & 1 small one of nearly 4 years). We are planning a camping trip at a VW festival in August. We had a practice camp in the garden last weekend with our tipi set up. All went well until bedtime. Little human was so excited that he would not settle. At 10.30pm we gave in and retired indoors where he decided to go straight to sleep in his ‘normal’ bed.
Any tips or advice on settling small ones down for the night when camping? Any info much appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Scott. Welcome to the camping group!
Excitement the first time is to be expected 🙂
However, we always found, that a day outside and lots of activities, meant that our ones always went to sleep well when they were that age. So hopefully, when you go camping for real, he should be quite tired by bedtime…. fingers crossed!
LOL! Fingers crossed indeed!
