Autumn is a great time of year for a family walk…
It’s getting a bit chilly here now, and the Autumn winds have started stripping the leaves from the trees. Winter will soon be here.
But as we enter the last few weeks of Autumn, the season is leaving in on a high note, and just this weekend we went for an excellent Autumn walk through a forest and up a hill (over 1000ft, so a big hill).
If you have a camera then Autumn is a great time of year to take some photos. You could even get your kids involved and teach them photography. This can be particularly good for older children to give them something to focus on. (See teaching older kids photography for more info).
Of course, if you have younger kids, then you’ll be collecting leaves.
We found some really big leaves when walking through the forest.
Of course, this time of year can be muddy, so be prepared for some washing afterwards!

There’s still time to enjoy Autumn. So put on your coats, hats, scarfs, and welly boots, and get outside and enjoy it.
