It's also the home of dramatic mountain ranges and coastlines, so there are lots of places to get outside and stay! :-)

Separated from the mainland by the Menai Straits, the island of Anglesey feels like a little country in its own right.

With views of the Snowdonia Mountains as you look back to the mainland, the island is both hilly and flat, and of course, surrounded by sea.  You can find secluded beaches that are natural sun traps like Church Bay, or wide expanses of sand and mud like at Red Wharf Bay. There's plenty of history too to explore, and lots of cosy pubs and places to eat.

Wrexham is a small county in North Wales on the border with Cheshire and Shropshire.  On the outskirts of Wrexham town is the World Heritage Site of the Pontycyslite canal aqueduct. The views from the top are quite amazing.
