Making a Splash at Waterworld in Stoke

Waterworld, StaffordshireSo there’s times when being outside and wet is not as appealing as being inside and wet.

If you are visiting or staying in Staffordshire, then Waterworld is a great water theme park that your kids will love.Get Out With The Kids - Reviewed

With a number of pools and many many slides and flumes, this place would eventually wear out the most energetic child.

Our particular favorites were the tyre rides where you would get boosted with water jets on the ride.  The kids specifically loved the space bowl, where you drop into a large bowl and spin around until you eventually get dropped through the plug hole!

With a pool-side cafe as well, you can spend the whole day out at the place.

If you live near by then you may also be interested in the kids parties they run.

Want to visit late?  Friday evenings is Aqua-Disco night.

The lockers at Waterworld cost £1.50 for a token you get when you have a ticket.  If you can get a large locker then you can fit about 3 people’s bags in (they are about 2 foot high).  When finished you put your token in a machine at reception and get £50 back.

You can go in and out of the locker as many times as you wish during the day, which is handy as we had to stop for lunch!

If you’re spending your time indoors then just around the corner is a large Cinema multiplex nearby (turn right when coming out of Waterworld and you’ll see the cinema at the next roundabout).

If you are camping or an outdoors person, then there is a massive Go Outdoors store just less than a mile from Waterworld.  This has its own multi-storey car park (which is free to Go Outdoors customers).

Put ST1 5HQ into your Sat Nav to find Go Outdoors.
