The Roman Baths, Bath

The Roman Baths, BathGet Out With The Kids - ReviewedThe Roman Baths in the City of Bath provide a unique glimpse into life in this country a few millennia ago. Although the building housing the baths is a relatively modern construction, it is surprising how much of the original structure has been excavated and is visible, including the sacrificial altar.

Included in the entrance price is an audio tour, with both adult and child versions.

When we visited there were some craft activities and enough gruesome detail on the audio to keep the kids entertained. Clearly a lot of investment has been made to the museum as there are some great exhibits, with full height video projections of roman britons using and working at the baths.

Where to find the Roman Baths?

You could put BA1 1LZ into your SatNav, though it is best to follow the Long Stay car park signs in Bath.  The Roman Baths aren’t too far to walk.
