Cosford Air Show

December 10, 2013

We visited the RAF Cosford Air Show this weekend, and I must say well done to the organisers of the Air Show at RAF Cosford.

Another cracking day out, despite the odd shower (and the one heavy one… but we’d brought our beach tent, so were well prepared).

Fantastic displays from so many.  Of course the Red Arrows, Blades, outstanding performance of the Typhoon, and the fantastic simulated close air support demonstration from the RAF Tornados.

Having been lucky enough to both fly aerobatics with RAF pilots and having flown in gliders, I was particularly impressed with the aerobatic display by the glider.  Not something I would contemplate without and engine and at that low altitude.

If you in the region it is well worth a visit.  There is also a fair ground, stalls, and of course the RAF Museum (more details here for how to find it).
