We try out the new Isabella Timeout tents at Love2Stay in Shrewsbury.

Love2Stay, in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, invited to try out one of their new luxury Isabella Timeout tents.

Love2Stay is very close to where we live, and it's somewhere we've stayed and visited many times before, especially with our caravan.

We'd class Love2Stay as a 'very posh' holiday park rather than a campsite. You can bring your own motorhome or caravan, but unfortunately, you can't pitch your own tent. However, you can stay in one of their Glamping Tents or Lodges. And unlike many campsites, there are many activities to keep the family busy.

The Timeout Tent

These Timeout tents are from the leading caravan awning manufacturer, Isabella. They've packaged up their awning know-how to create this luxury pre-pitched tent.

We have stayed at a few glamping-style locations before, and this was definitely on the luxury end of glamping.

The main bedroom inside the tent

This is the main bedroom. All towels and linen are provided. The towels were even folded as you see in a posh hotel.

There's a full-size double bed in the main bedroom. This isn't a camp bed. It's a proper bed.

Shell said it was one of the most comfortable beds she's ever slept in.

Towels arranged on the bed in the tent

This is rather posh for a tent

There are power sockets with USB, so you have somewhere to charge your phones.

There's another set of good beds, with a triple bunk in the next room.

The triple bunk bed

A very large bunk bed was in the other bedroom.

Living area in the tent

A good-sized lounge area with a TV. The sofa can be used as another bed if necessary.

The kitchen in the TimeOut tent

The tent's kitchen was kitted out well, with high-quality appliances and utensils.

Here's what you get in the Love2Stay TimeOut tent:

  • Lounge with a flat-screen TV
  • Outdoor Dining area
  • Fully fitted kitchen
  • Integrated small fridge/freezer
  • Kitchen utensils
  • Kettle and Toaster
  • Oven
  • Double-sized bed
  • Triple bunk bed
  • Sofa bed
  • Bedding Towels and linen
  • Decking area
  • Firepit with grill plate
  • Plinth floor heater
  • Regular power sockets
  • Large double beanbag on the deck
  • Outdoor Lighting
  • Wood and firefighters for the fire pit
The deck at night

The deck was great at night too, with lights around the tent and a fire pit. Wood was provided.

Other places to stay

As well as the Timeout tents, and of course the Hardstandings with Electric for caravans and motorhomes, Love2Stay also includes:

  • Massive safari tents with hot tubs. These tents are huge compared to normal safari tents.
  • Woodland lodges, also with hot tubs.
  • Black barns, again, with hot tubs.

Things to do

There's a natural swimming pool, hot tubs, a beach area, and a small heated pool (April to October only).

The Natural Pool at Love 2 stay

There's a natural pool, but also a small heated 'hot springs' pool in the beach area, and there are also hot tubs available to use.

You'll find the main cafe overlooking the outdoor pool. This serves all the usual things you expect, plus it has a pizza oven, so it serves fantastic fresh pizzas.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, and if you do come with a four-legged friend, there's an enclosed dog walking area, a dog agility course, and a dog wash too.

If that isn't enough, there is a huge play park for the kids, plus an activity centre. Activities include things like archery, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

There's free wifi (though signal strength depends on your pitch), and a gym, plus you can book gym classes, get a massage, have a beauty treatment, and even see a physiotherapist if you need one.

We also tied paddleboarding

We also tried paddleboarding on their lake.

Verdict

Staying at Love2Stay and the new Isabella TimeOut tent was a great weekend break, and it gets the thumbs up from us.
