GOWTK Review of Celtic Camping

“Wow”.

There are a few places in the world where the view is really awesome, and Celtic Camping is one of those places.

Stunning views at Celtic camping in Pembrokeshire
Golden skies at Celtic Camping

With a big sky and a wide view of the beautifully rugged Pembrokeshire coastline, this is one one place to pitch your tent with a stunning vista. Plus it almost faces due west, so you get amazing sunsets too.

Camping with a Sea View at Celtic Camping

Celtic Camping makes a great base for exploring Pembrokeshire.

If you’ve not visited Pembrokeshire before, you’re in for a treat.

Dramatic coastline by Celtic Camping

Rugged cliffs and turquoise clear waters. The wildlife loves it here too.

Camping after the sun has set

Celtic Camping is right by the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, so a good base for exploring right from the campsite (though watch little explorers on the cliff edges).

The Blue Lagoon

There’s a little bay with a beach next to the campsite, or you can take a stroll to the Blue Lagoon and larger beach at Abereiddy Bay.

Standup Paddle Boarding with Board Games in Fishguard

There’s not just great scenery and beaches, Pembrokeshire is a haven for outdoor activities.

We explored the hidden coastline with the Kayak King, and had great fun paddle boarding with Board Games Surfing. We highly recommend you try out both of these activities, which are really close to Celtic Camping.

Freezers and dryers at Celtic Camping

The campsite provides drying and washing facilities (no charge), which is useful with all the beaches and activities nearby.

Covered eating area at Celtic Camping

There’s also a large covered eating area if the weather’s not too good (complete with indoor BBQs).

If you don’t feel like cooking then just a few minutes drive down the road is The Sloop Inn at Porthgain. This is a great place to get a meal in the evening sun, and then go for a stroll and watch the sun set over the water. (Click here to see some pictures).

Camping as the sun sets

Reviewed & recommended. Celtic Camping gets a thumbs up from us.
