Canvas & Campfires

Canvas & Campfires is a small off-grid glamping site located just 15 mins from the beautiful Cardigan bay coastline. The site is located on an 11 acre working smallholding 3 miles West of the University town of Lampeter.

There are 3 safari tents and a small holiday cottage on the farm. The safari tents sleep up to 6 in proper beds, have comfy leather sofas, well equipped kitchens and have running water and flushing toilets. Two of the tents are dog friendly. There is a cabin bed in each of the tents which is always a big hit with kids and a ‘secret’ den beneath it for hiding away. Each tents comes with a coffee table box which contains board games and other games and bug hunting/pond dipping kits can be borrowed onsite.

There is lots to do for families both on and off the site. On site kids can help collect the eggs, feed the sheep, play in the stream, build dens, explore the meadow field, go pond dipping, forage for fruit and generally run wild. Campfires are encouraged (but are not compulsory!). Off the farm there is the stunning coastline to explore, the Brechfa forest, the Cambrian uplands and much, much more.

Come lose yourselves in wonderful West Wales.

Each tent has it’s own campfire area and outdoor cooking tripod/equipment. There is also a communal campfire in the gamping field that all guests are welcome to utilise. Two crates of wood a day are included in the price, so plenty for cooking both inside and enjoying outside the safari tents. Additional wood can be purchased in the onsite honesty shop

Shower Facilities

There is one shower block containing 2 showers which is shared between the three tents. Showers are instant and unlimited hot water and are included in the price of the stay. Towels are also included so the only towels you should need are ones for the beach.

Nearby Places to Eat

There are lots and lots of places to eat nearby. The closest place is in the local village of Llanwnnen which is about 1 mile away. 3 miles away you will find the university town of Lampeter which has a host of cafes, pubs and takeaways and an award winning fish and chip shop. Many of the pubs and cafes in Lampeter are dog friendly. Slightly further afield is Aberearon which also has lots of cafes, restaurants and pubs.
