About Thistledown Centre Campsite
An organic farm in the Costwolds area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, complete with 70 acres of ancient meadow and woodland.
It offers a relaxed tents-only camping experience, with free roaming chickens!
The campsite is split into three areas. The upper area, Elderflower Orchard, is accessible by car (though car may need to be moved when busy). This part of the site uses porta-loos and has no showers.
The lower two pastures are only accessible by foot, though if available, a lift in the 4×4 mule can be arranged.
What about campfires?
Fire pits are provided. Wood can be purchased on site for £10 a heaped barrowful.
BBQs allowed, but only if raised off the ground.

How much will it cost?
Prices per night. Cash only. Camping by reservation only.
- Up to a family tent – £10 in lower pastures, £5 if camping in elderflower orchard, £5 if not arriving by foot/bicycle/public transport
- Adults (18 years and over) – £6
- Children – £3 (Under fours are free.)
- Any day/ evening visitors pay the day entrance fee (adults – £4, children – £2)
- Heaped barrow of wood – £10
- Lift in the mule – £5 (each way)
