A great location within the Dartmoor National Park in South Devon – but with a twist. You can stay in a Romany Caravan or a Shepherds Hut.
There is a larger caravan with a double bed, and next to it there’s a smaller one for 2 children. The smaller one is a miniture version and contains a child size double bed, and should accommodate most children up to the age of 10.
The final caravan is a shepherd’s hut that contains two adult sized single beds.
Enough choice for everyone.
Cooking is the traditional way – i.e. with a campfire.
The fire also heats the water for the bush shower. Yes, this really isn’t like your normal campsite.
There’s also a safari tent that you can use as your kitchen or somewhere to go if the weather turns (you may want to bring your own stove as you’re permitted to cook in there).
The site itself is set on a 30 acre working farm, with 3 acres of Cider orchards. The camp is set in a field beside a stream and small woods.
How much will it cost?
From £375 per week, or from £150 for a weekend away. You have the entire field for your exclusive access. Bed linen is provided but you should bring your own towels.
Some logs are provided but more can be purchased on site.
